Tour itinerary
The tour is available as a budget or comfort accommodation package, and you can fully tailor it according to your needs.
Day 1. Arusha – Lake Manyara. (Jambo lodge)
Early departure from Arusha to Lake Manyara (ca. 2 h), afternoon game drive till sunset.
By Lake Manyara, right underneath the Great Rift Valley, you’re sure to see large numbers of elephants, tree-climbing lions and pink flamingos for which the park is known.
Day 2: Lake Manyara – Serengeti (Katikati tented camp)
Early morning drive (ca. 4 h) to the Serengeti, the “endless plain of Africa”. The Serengeti is rightly one of the best known game parks in the world, offering a wide array of wildlife an some spectacular scenery.
Game drive until sunset, with dinner and overnight at Katikati tented camp
Day 3: Serengeti
Full day game drive in Serengeti, looking out for spotting the Big Five. Picnic lunch and dinner at Katikati tented camp
Day 4: Serengeti – Olduvai Gorge – Ngorongoro (Sopa lodge)
Early departure to Ngorongoro crater (ca. 3 h). On the way to Ngorongoro, there is an option to pass via Olduvai Gorge, the archaeological site that is commonly referred to as the “Cradle of mankind.” Arrival in Ngorongoro in the evening for dinner and overnight at Sopa lodge.
Day 5: Ngorongoro and Tarangire (Jambo lodge)
Descend into the crater in the early morning. In Ngorongoro, plants and animals have created a distinct ecosystem owing to the crater’s closed structure. You’re particularly likely to spot the rather rare rhino here.
After the game drive, transfer to Jambo lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Tarangire – Arusha
Early morning game drive in Tarangire with picnic lunch, after lunch drive back to Arusha city.
